Our debate camp is a full-service program offering instruction in Lincoln-Douglas, Team Policy, and Parliamentary Debate. We welcome students of all experience levels, from complete novices to seasoned competitors. Each track is thoughtfully designed to maximize your success in the upcoming competition season, with focused instruction tailored to your skill level.

Students will work closely with experienced coaches and accomplished alumni debaters who provide hands-on guidance, strategy development, and individualized feedback. Whether you are building foundational skills or refining advanced techniques, our goal is to help you grow as a speaker, thinker, and competitor—and set you up for your most successful year yet.

Program Level Options

Team Policy Debate Camp

Participants are grouped by experience level to ensure appropriate instruction, skill development, and competitive growth:

Novice (0 years experience):
Designed for students with no prior debate experience. Focuses on foundational skills including argument structure, research basics, speaking techniques, and an introduction to policy debate format.

Intermediate (1–2 years experience):
For students with some debate background. Emphasizes case construction, refutation, flowing, and strategic thinking, while building confidence in both speaking and round performance.

Advanced (3+ years experience):
Intended for experienced debaters seeking high-level instruction. Focuses on advanced strategy, in-depth research, complex argument development, and competitive round execution.

Lincoln-Douglas Debate Camp

Participants are grouped by experience level to ensure appropriate instruction, skill development, and competitive growth.

note for novices: students must choose either the Team Policy or Lincoln Douglas debate track.

Novice (0 years experience):
Designed for students with no prior debate experience. Focuses on foundational skills including argument structure, basic philosophy, speaking techniques, and an introduction to Lincoln-Douglas format.

Intermediate (1–2 years experience):
For students with some debate background. Emphasizes case writing, value and criterion development, refutation, and strategic round execution, while strengthening speaking and analytical skills.

Advanced (3+ years experience):
Intended for experienced debaters seeking high-level instruction. Focuses on advanced philosophical argumentation, complex case strategy, in-depth research, and high-level competitive performance.

Parliamentary Debate Camp

This program coaches experienced debate students in the fast-paced and dynamic format of Parliamentary Debate. Emphasizing critical thinking, quick analysis, and persuasive speaking, students will learn how to construct and deliver arguments with limited preparation time. Instruction focuses on teamwork, logical reasoning, rebuttal skills, and effective communication in a structured yet flexible debate format. Through practice rounds and guided feedback, participants will build confidence and adaptability while developing the skills needed for success in parliamentary competition.
